Originally hailing from Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, about an hour outside of Washington, D.C., I moved west to attend The University of Oregon, where I studied and lived in Eugene until 1996. From there, I followed my love of mountains and the outdoors to Telluride, Colorado, where I lived and worked in the restaurant industry and traded securities. While I lived in Colorado, I met my wife and got married in 2003. Once married, my wife and I decided to move back East in order to be closer to family and for me to attend culinary school in Charleston, SC. Inevitably, our love of the mountains and cooler climates brought us out of The Lowcountry and into Asheville. We have lived in the Kenilworth neighborhood of Asheville since 2004 (now in our third house in the same neighborhood), and are proud to be raising two boys. Working as a chef and in various capacities in the restaurant business was exciting, challenging and fun; however, a desire to be able to spend more waking hours with my family led me to a career in real estate. I have been helping folks buy and sell homes and land in Asheville and the surrounding areas since 2007, and also specialize in investment properties, speculative building, land/lot acquisition, subdivision and development, particularly in Kenilworth and other neighborhoods close to the center of Asheville. I have a trusted network of contractors, attorneys and other service providers, as well as a thorough understanding of the City of Asheville’s planning and development rules and processes. These relationships help me to give my clients the best information to work with in order to achieve their goals, whatever they might be. I work with everyone from first-time homebuyers to savvy investors and would love to help you! When I am not working, I like to spend my time with with my wife and boys, hiking, snowboarding, cooking, listening to records, enjoying live music and playing guitar and drums.
